About Me Professionally

I am a native Nashvillian and received my undergraduate degree in psychology from Belmont University.  I received my Master’s in Education, Counseling and Personnel Services with an emphasis in Community Agency Counseling from the University of Memphis.  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified Life Coach, throught the state of Tennessee, having received training from the Institute of Life Coach Training and the College of Executive Coaching.  I have worked for a mental health agency in various roles and responsibilities, including federal grant administration, coordination and supervising therapist and case managers, managing both state and federally funded grants and coordinating clinical review information for Managed Care Organizations.  I have worked as a counselor and a coach with both adults and adolescents in urban, rural and inner-city settings. I have worked with individuals, couples and families offering BOTH coaching and counseling services. I offer in person seminars and conduct in person speaking engagements, group trainings via tele-conferences and in person, as well as Mastermind groups.  I also work with helping professionals to help in ease the stress and burn out they experience in offering their gifts and talents.

My approach to the coaching and counseling process is often fast paced, but nurturing and accepting. I understand a great deal about people and deeply empathize with where they are in their life-right now, while assisting them with figuring out their next steps. I try to fully understand the pressures and expectations of an individuals life and assist them in conceptualizing this so the path they are choosing falls in alignment with their goals, passions and overall happiness. I am very passionate about the work I do and fully believe my clients can and deserve to live fulfilling, purposeful lives. My expectations of my clients is simple--I expect them to show up for themselves. If they cannot, the expectation is that we work in a partnership to figure out why not.  My services are for my clients.
